Coming off the back of a third place in his debut outing at the Race 2 Stanford (R2S) triathlon race at the weekend, Cooke said he would not ease up on training as he looks to get some more races under his belt later this year. He said that while he would be giving the Nelson Mandela Bay Triathlon Championships a skip this year and focus on his training and recovery, he has earmarked the International Triathlon Union African Championships in Egypt in May, with a view of competing at the Ironman 7-.3 in East London and Challenge Cape Town scheduled for the back end of the year.
